Hace buten time ago, The Human League grabó una canción llamada "THE LEBANON", llego al Top 20 en la lista inglesa y la prensa de su país se burló como suele hacerlo por la letra del tema.

Ceasefirecampaign.org es una campaña lanzada por un grupo de amigos de todo el mundo quienes están horrorizados con lo que esta sucediendo en el Oriente Medio y por la falta de acción de nuestros líderes. En su página anotan: El mundo no puede permitir que continúe el derramamiento de sangre en Oriente Medio. Miles de civiles inocentes han sido asesinados o heridos, 1 millon de personas han perdido su hogar y todavía es posible una catástrofe mayor. Exigimos al Presidente George Bush, al Primer Ministro Británico Tony Blair y al Consejo de Seguridad de la Organizacion de las Naciones Unidas su apoyo a la propuesta del Secretario General de la ONU Kofi Annan en su petición de un inmediato cese del fuego y el envío de una fuerza internacional para estabilizar la situación.
