En la entrevista From despair to where?, los Dirty Pretty Things (la banda de Carl Barat tras la debacle de The Libertines) declaran que salir de una cárcel mexicana es casi imposible al menos que tengan excelentes conexiones diplomáticas.
Y ante la pregunta de Are you speaking from experience here?, agregan lo siguiente:
Anthony: Yeah, well a long time ago, my first experience we went to Tijuana, and one our companions decided he’d just have a piss on the street. Next thing, we know, four cops locked us up, searched all our pockets and then decided we could either go to jail or give them, like $800, or whatever we exactly had amongt us that they’d already checked. And that was it. And you have NO choice; you have to give them money. It’s kinda scary.
